We are currently looking for hard working dependable candidates to work for our client based in Ellesmere Port. Working in a fast paced food production site. This site is easily accessible by public transport and by car. Details about the role: £12.60 per hour 8am till 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am till 2pm Friday Monday to Friday Optional overtime on the weekends Duties: Carry out assessment of raw materials Stock control of submitted samples ensuring correct storage, handling and disposal where necessary Sampling, preparing & shipping of samples for customer assessment Logging of submitted samples on QA database, use of system to retrieve relevant test paperwork and use of ERP system Responsible for the completion of laboratory paperwork Cleaning & maintenance of laboratory environment & equipment Collating data and presenting in graphs, charts & reports. Other duties as required Skills and experience: Computer literate in email, word & excel. Proactive and able to work without supervision as part of a team or independently and to work on your own initiative. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Outstanding written/verbal communication and good interpersonal skills. Well organized, with good problem-solving abilities and able to multitask. Excellent numeracy skills. Educations and Qualifications: Although not essential, the successful candidate would ideally have knowledge and/or qualifications in the following areas: General knowledge of Health & Safety and Manual Handling Food Safety in Manufacturing A Food science or Laboratory qualification would be beneficial.
