The Opportunity: We are supporting an established environmental consultancy and estate management provider in the appointment of a Managing Agent / Estate Manager to oversee a portfolio of land and vacant property assets across the North West.
This role sits within a specialist team responsible for ensuring land and property assets are safely managed, compliant and operationally maintained. The position combines estate management, contractor coordination and health & safety oversight across a geographically spread portfolio.
It is a hands-on, operational role that requires regular site visits, stakeholder coordination, and the practical management of land and estate-related risks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the management of land and vacant property portfolios
* Coordinate complex estate management projects
* Oversee contractors, consultants and works programmes
* Ensure health & safety compliance across estate environments
* Conduct site inspections and risk assessments
* Manage revenue and capital works projects
* Provide professional advice to support land and property clients
* Mentor and support estate managers and junior team members
* Represent the consultancy in project meetings and stakeholder discussions
Candidate Profile:
This role would suit someone with experience in:
* Estate management
* Land and property management
* Facilities management
* Vacant property management
* Environmental or landscape management
* Health & safety within estates or property environments
You should be comfortable managing multiple sites, contractors and stakeholders while maintaining strong compliance standards.
Essential Experience:
* Experience managing property, land or estate portfolios
* Strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation
* Experience managing contractors and site works
* Ability to manage multiple sites and stakeholders
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly
Desirable:
* NEBOSH or equivalent H&S qualification
* Professional membership (IOSH, RICS, Landscape Institute or similar)
* Experience managing large land portfolios
