As a Risk Engineer in the Upstream Energy sector, you will play a vital role in optimizing value-added support to risk carriers and providing risk consulting services to clients.
This mission involves executing the risk consulting strategy for the upstream energy team, focusing on enhancing profitability through loss reduction and developing a stream of earnings from risk consulting services.
* You will provide oil and gas, drilling, and exploration specific risk reviews for underwriting through third-party information review and client meetings, as well as claims reviews.
* You may be required to visit client sites to evaluate location and industry-specific risks, reporting your findings in a structured way back to underwriting and the client.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemical/process engineering, with significant experience in drilling, development, production operations, construction, or an equivalent risk consulting position.
Additional requirements include an interest in the energy transition, forward thinking, agility, and problem-solving skills, as well as comfort working autonomously and being part of a great team player.
