We are currently working with an inclusive secondary school in Redbridge that is looking for a talented teacher to join its Performing Arts department as the stand-alone Drama specialist, covering a maternity leave from January 2026 until the end of the academic teacher July 2026.
The Role
As the specialist drama teacher within the school, you will:
Deliver engaging Drama lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5 (including A-level).
Take responsibility for leading GCSE and A-level classes, supporting students with coursework, practical assessments, and examination preparation.
Contribute to the wider Performing Arts department, working collaboratively to maintain high standards.
Inspire and challenge pupils through creative, high-quality teaching that nurtures confidence and performance skills.
Support the school’s Performing Arts department in preparing and running whole-school events, showcases, and productions.
Person Specification
Specialism in Drama with strong subject knowledge.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching A-level Drama alongside KS3 and KS4.
A proactive, engaging, and collaborative approach to teaching.The School
