Are you a creative and enthusiastic Drama Teacher looking to inspire students through performing arts?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Drama Teacher to join welcoming secondary schools in Doncaster (DN2, DN6).
As a Teacher of Drama, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ confidence, creativity, and communication skills. You will encourage collaboration, self-expression, and performance skills, helping students to thrive both on stage and in the classroom.
Responsibilities of a Drama Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
* Support students in developing performance, improvisation, and theatre production skills.
* Assess student work, provide feedback, and monitor progress.
* Encourage creativity, teamwork, and self-expression in a safe and inclusive environment.
* Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
* Collaborate with colleagues to organise school performances and enrichment activities.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Strong subject knowledge in Drama and Performing Arts.
* Previous experience teaching Drama in secondary schools is desirable.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
