Responsibilities include:Supporting delivery of the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks and maintaining our Matrix quality standardProviding 1:1 and group guidance to students across all levels of educationHelping students explore and progress into Higher Education, Apprenticeships or Employment ensuring they are informed, confident and prepared for their next steps· Delivering services face-to-face, by phone or virtually via TeamsUsing digital platforms to extend the reach of our careers serviceDesigning and delivering high-impact careers events and activities ensuring that they meet individual needs and aspirationsCollaborating with curriculum managers, student experience leads, and the wider Student Services team· Supporting improved outcomes for priority groups, including vulnerable learners, those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), and students facing barriers to progressionYou'll be expected to work both flexibly and independently, while being fully supported by a collaborative networkWho we're looking forIn this fast paced role, you should enjoy working with a wide range of students to support and guide them to navigate their way through a range of careers education experiences. You should be an experienced, motivational, enthusiastic and flexible Careers Advisor who:Has a Level 6 qualification in Careers Guidance (or is currently working towards it with completion within 6 months of starting the role)Brings experience of working with young people and adults across all levels of education in both 1:1 and group settingsHas a strong understanding of local labour markets and current developments in careers educationIs confident working independently and flexibly across multiple campusesHas excellent networking and collaboration skillsIs committed to inclusive practice, with experience supporting vulnerable learners and those with SENFor further details on this post which the job description and person specification cannot answer for you, please contact Taniqua Wint (Senior Careers and Schools Team Leader) on taniqua.wint@nottinghamcollege.ac.ukInterviews /Assessments are planned for: 4th June 2026Why Join usCompetitive salary – £29,290 to £33,602FTE.
