Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Nursery Assistant with Driving Experience, based in Liverpool. The Nursery Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day care of children, ensuring their safety, and supporting their development. This includes tasks such as preparing meals, planning activities, engaging in play, and providing transportation for school drop-offs and pickups. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe environment, observing and recording children's progress, and following safeguarding protocols.
Qualifications
* Experience in Nursery and Childcare
* Knowledge of Safeguarding Children and general Safeguarding practices
* Strong Communication skills
* Valid driver's license and driving experience
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* First Aid certification is a plus
* Relevant qualifications in Childcare or Early Years Education

Job Purpose:
To ensure the safe and timely transportation of children to and from the nursery, while supporting nursery staff in delivering high-quality care and education during the day.

Key Responsibilities:
Driving Duties
• Safely transport children between home and nursery using the nursery vehicle
• Maintain cleanliness and safety checks of the vehicle
• Follow designated routes and schedules
• Ensure children are securely seated and supervised during transit
• Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly
Nursery Assistant Duties
• Support staff with daily routines including meal times, play, and learning activities
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
• Assist with settling children and managing transitions

Requirements:
Essential
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Experience working with children (nursery or school setting preferred)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Enhanced DBS check (or OFSTED)
Desirable
• First Aid certification (Paediatric)
• Level 2 or 3 Childcare qualification
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
