Facilities Team Member within a busy environment, supplying steering components for the Automotive Industry.
* Position is on a Temporary to Permanent contract, 32 to 39 hours per week
* Starting Hourly Rate £12.21 moving onto £12.65 per hour after successful completion of 6-month probationary period.
* Day shift working pattern
* Basic Hours - Flexible depending on the right candidate 32 to 39 hour per week (to ne discussed)

Schedule:
* Monday to Friday (32 to 39 hours attended)
* Transport required as bus service is not an option for start / finish times of shifts.
Although not exhaustive the duties & responsibilities encompassed in the role of a Facilities Team Member within this department are summarised below:
The main purpose of the job is to support and assist the day to day running for a safe and clean working environment.
* Ensuring all walkways are clean and free from litter and debris.
* Reporting anything in need of repair or replacement to the appropriate person.
* Maintain good communication with manufacturing manager at all times.
* Emptying of the General waste bins daily replacing bags as necessary.
* Daily / weekly / monthly recycling duties.
* Maintaining of the Karcher "Sit on" and "Walk Behind" floor cleaners. Pointing out any damage or replacements to the manufacturing manager.
* Sweeping and mopping of the floor surfaces where the Kacher cannot reach.
* Clean up spills and leaks as required, using appropriate mechanical appliance or conventional mops/brushes etc..
* Supporting company visits ensuring high standard at all times.
* Keeping the cleaning room clean and tidy at all times and storing cleaning materials safely.
* The emptying of ashtrays in the smoking areas – daily.
* Checking the communal fridges for anything that could cause concern i.e. left over foods.
* Cleaning of the microwaves – daily.
* Care of Lockers/keys and Locker Rooms
* Support contract cleaning when necessary
* External litter pick.
* Oil store monitoring / 5S.
* Be prepared to receive and undertake further training as required by JTEKT Automotive UK Ltd.
* Be prepared to support in other departments (if required).
* Very good time keeping & attendance record.
* Be reliable and work well within a small team.
* Have the ability to work under pressure, the self-motivation to work and complete tasks unsupervised.
* Be flexible in their approach towards the role.
* Responsibility for ensuring safety in the workplace and following all instructions relating to the use and storage of materials / equipment.
* Must always wear the correct PPE provided to carry out the task in hand.
* Ensure no working at height or ladders, boxes, stools are used.
* Report all accidents / near misses to either Line Leaders or First Aider.
