Position Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part‑time Telephonist to join our busy team based at Regent Point.
Shift pattern will be Saturday & Sunday. Early 08:00‑16:00 or late 13:30‑21:30. Interview date: 7 April 2026. 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include the operation of a PC based switchboard to provide an efficient and effective service to both internal and external callers, with the ability to communicate effectively, remain calm, concise and polite under pressure.
Operate a single service to support the Trust and its agencies, answering all calls for the Trust (Freeman, CAV Acute Services RVI and all community services) and connecting calls to the caller’s requirements utilising the appropriate resources available via the database (extensions, DECT, pagers, mobiles and home numbers). Respond to all emergency alarms and contact appropriate personnel.

* Urgent treatment centres
* Newcastle Fertility Centre
* Northern Centre for Cancer Care, North Cumbria
