We're seeking a Junior Business Service Researcher to help elevate the experience for our colleagues, clients, and partners. As part of our business service design team, you'll play a crucial role in designing and launching services and experiences. You'll contribute to some of the most innovative projects at WPP and spearhead the evolution of our approach.
In this role, you'll support service design activities for a designated practice/product group, responding to challenges collaboratively and strategically to deliver improved service outcomes and cost savings. While your role will be primarily hands-on, you'll also have opportunities to influence the direction of service design capability at WPP IT, establish best practices, and advocate for the service design profession.
What you'll be doing:
* Deliver complex service and product design projects.
* Design, prototype, and build multi-channel services within multidisciplinary teams.
* Inspire colleagues, clients, and partners towards quality design work.
* Use design research techniques to uncover customer needs and pain points.
* Develop service concepts, blueprints, and other service design artifacts.
* Contribute to the design of new services from scratch.
* Advocate and advance the service design approach.
* Engage with our service design Community of Practice and industry.
What you'll need:
* Digital perspective - Understands how the digital economy impacts user behavior and the commercial landscape.
* Evidence and context-based design – Can visualize, articulate, solve problems, and make decisions based on available information and research evidence.
* Facilitating decisions and risks – Can guide effective decisions, explaining clearly how the decision has been reached.
* Prototyping – Has experience in prototyping and user testing of prototypes.
* Strategic thinking – Can think in terms of business issues, events, activities and their wider implications and long-term impact.
* Understanding constraints – Can understand and work within given constraints (including but not limited to technology, regulatory, financial, legal, social user constraints).
* User focus - Puts users first and can manage competing priorities.
* User research – Has experience in user research, including creating research plans, scripts, and conducting interviews.
