About the Role- This opportunity is for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
Brunel Pension Partnership Limited (Brunel) is looking for an
Operational Risk Analyst (ORA)
who will support the delivery and maintenance of the risk management framework. The ORA will work with the Head of Operational Risk and Compliance (HoORC) and the Operational Risk Manager (ORM) to deliver the risk strategy for Brunel. The ORA will work closely with both the HoORC and ORM to provide the support required to Brunel's Risk programme to ensure the business operates to its high business standards and regulatory obligations.
Responsibilities:
* Support the Risk team's oversight of Brunel's services and operations by gathering and preparing information and data pertaining to Brunel's activities
* Maintain Brunel's Risk documentation, including policies, procedures, guidance documents, RCSAs and other relevant material
* Support the HoORC and the ORM with oversight and embedding of the operational risk framework, including but not limited to:
* Responsibility for 2 line review and monitoring of risk event management
* Review and challenge of the 1 line of defence's management of risks via the 2 line risk management oversight programme
* Reporting on risk matters to committees, providing high quality documentation and MI
* Provide training and guidance to staff on risk matters, as required
* Support improvement of the risk processes and implementation of changes in the business
* Develop and maintain a working knowledge of relevant best practice, legal and regulatory standards with respect to operational risk
* Responsibility for conducting RCSA reviews and performing control testing to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
Bespoke Qualifications for the role:
* Can, and will, embrace and protect Brunel's values and culture, including support for diversity
* At least 2 years' experience within an operational Risk role, within an FCA-regulated Investment Manager, ideally with experience of investigating risk events.
* Has a working knowledge of risk management concepts and prevention measures relevant to an Investment Manager. Experience in development of the risk framework would be beneficial.
* Relevant qualifications (CISI or equivalent) is an advantage.
* Has experience of utilising and maximising the use of business applications.
* Is detail-oriented and considered a "completer-finisher", is pragmatic and works with a high degree of common sense.
* Able to balance priorities and manage own workload.

* Experience of working in a Company going through significant change would be helpful
