Lead Paralegal – Litigation
TSR Legal are proud to be working with a leading law firm with offices in Newport who now have an opportunity for a Paralegal to join their team.
Role and Responsibilities
* Assisting Fee Earners in undertaking all legal work, including:
o Carrying out legal research
o Drafting legal documents
o Conducting and attending meetings with clients
o Completing administrative tasks
o Collating documents
* Corresponding with clients via email, telephone, and Microsoft Teams
* Monitoring and managing annual leave and office presence
* Monitoring files in the absence of Fee Earners and ensuring information is transferred appropriately
* Delegating and distributing workload within the paralegal team
* Developing practical and professional skills through seminars, webinars, and internal training courses
* Monitoring emails and post and providing information to Fee Earners
* Complying with Anti-Money Laundering Regulations and completing all necessary regulatory training
* Taking part in marketing and networking events on behalf of the firm
* Assisting other Fee Earners as required
* Covering reception duties when needed
* Liaising with the Management Team
* Conducting quarterly appraisals for the paralegal team
Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills
* Degree or equivalent qualifications
* Excellent IT skills
* Strong communication skills
* Effective time management
* Basic marketing and business development awareness
* Enthusiasm and commitment
* Willingness to learn
* Basic accounts knowledge
