Learning Assistant – Abercromby Primary School
Note: This post is part time term time. Your salary will be pro rata to hours and weeks worked. If you start during the normal school session, an adjustment may be made to reduce your first pay because you are not entitled to be paid for all holidays. After this adjustment, you will receive a twelfth of your annual salary each month thereafter. An email from the payroll department will advise the amount deducted before your first pay. If you start on the first day of term, this adjustment does not apply.
Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively as a member of the school team or specialist educational service under the direction or supervision of the Head Teacher or designated manager to promote effective learning, teaching, personal development, health and well-being and an atmosphere of achievement.
* Provide support to teachers to facilitate effective and efficient use of resources to promote teaching and learning and raise attainment in the classroom.
* Contribute to raising achievement and support the general supervision, safety and care of pupils by supporting the learning process.
* Support pupils, including those with additional support needs who may have difficulties due to behaviour, learning, sensory or physical impairment or family circumstances.
* Work with pupils one-to-one or in groups in any appropriate setting and be flexible to meet the needs of the school.

You may be responsible for the cost if your salary exceeds £38,000 per annum, deducted from the first pay.
