We are looking for an Assistant Psychologis t to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Kidsgrove, based on the female Acute Ward. This role will be working full time, 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday (9:00am to 5:00pm) Cygnet Hospital Kidsgrove is a hospital for women in Staffordshire. There are two wards at the hospital; a 20 bed Acute service for women and an 11 bed Highly Specialised Personality Disorder Rehabilitation service. Crocus Ward provides a safe and stabilising environment for women who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission. Burleigh Ward provides specialised support for women with a personality disorder and other complex needs. Your Day-to-Day… We are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the psychological care of patients at the service by assisting the Qualified Psychologist with; • Contributing to assessments, scoring and reporting (verbal / written) • Clinical formulation and implementing care plans for psychological treatment • Planning, delivering and evaluating individual/group programmes • Contributing to regular MDT reviews for service users • Administration, audit, research and service development We’re looking for someone who is… • Degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent • BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited • Preferably experienced in health care and/or in an Assistant Psychologist role • Passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team • Qualified to Master’s degree level or higher in Psychology (preferable) Why Cygnet?
