We have a fantastic opportunity for you to become a Personal Assistant to our client who is a professional male with a spinal injury, requiring support in Newcastle. Join his current team of PAs to provide him with personal care and daily living support.Pay & Benefits:Hours : Our client will require support in the Newcastle area for one week, every other month and then there will be additional optional hours available in Cambridgeshire. Exact hours will be discussed in the interview.Start Date: Immediate start availableShift Patterns: Thursday to Sunday - 9am - 1pmPay Rate: £17.39 per hourCare experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.About Our ClientOur client is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant in the Newcastle area on a bank basis to support him whilst he visits family and potentially when he goes on holiday abroad (around 28 days per year.)He has a Spinal Cord Injury and will require support with all aspects of his life including personal care, clinical care, physiotherapy, general tasks around his home, so driving will be essential for this role.Prior care experience is not required, all training will be provided but some experience is preferred.About YouYou are unlikely to have experience in every aspect of our client's care therefore full training in his particular needs is provided.You will need to be:physically fit, calm, patient and caringa confident driver and hold a full UK driving licence with own vehiclefluent in the English languagereliable and trustworthya non-smokerorganised and able to work on your own initiativea positive individual with a good sense of humoura mature and responsible individualhave excellent hearing and communication skillsclean and tidy in both your appearance and wayshave a valid passportYou must respect our client's privacy and have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of your work.Application Process: To apply, please submit a cover letter describing your interests and explaining why you would be a suitable candidate for this unique and rewarding position.Training and Development: Full training in the client's particular needs will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for individuals without previous care experience.
