P6 Planner / Scheduler

Pay Rate: £260 per day PAYE
Term: 12 months

Our client’s steam turbine is the most advanced of its kind and the company provides turbine island lifecycle support solutions for all nuclear reactor types – improving power output, reducing environmental footprint, and lowering operational cost.
We are currently recruiting for a Planner to join our team in Rugby. You will work very closely with the manufacturing teams and play a key role in planning and coordinating activities within the Service Centre. As a Planner, you will be responsible for receiving and scheduling demands, ensuring that production plans are aligned and that all required materials are available to meet agreed customer technical requirements (CTQs). You will support the end‑to‑end delivery of work, collaborating with multiple departments across the business to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on time.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
* Develop in‑depth knowledge of technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy / strategy.
* In‑depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In‑depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
* Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on‑the‑job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
* A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members.
Key Requirements
* 3 years’ experience of using Primavera P6
* Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
