Job Title: Import Forwarding Clerk
Location: Felixstowe, Suffolk, United Kingdom
Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum plus performance-based incentives
Company Overview: Our client is a well-established freight forwarder based in Felixstowe, known for their efficient and reliable services in the logistics industry. They are seeking to expand their import forwarding team with an additional member to support their growing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Import Customs Clearance: Handle all aspects of import customs clearance, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and procedures.
* Arranging Deliveries: Coordinate and arrange deliveries to ensure timely and accurate distribution of goods.
* Booking International Ocean Freight: Manage bookings for international ocean freight, liaising with carriers and clients to secure optimal shipping solutions.
* Knowledge of Multifreight: Utilize Multifreight software for efficient management of freight forwarding operations (desirable but not essential).
Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous experience in import forwarding or a similar role.
* Strong understanding of customs clearance processes and regulations.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Multifreight software is a plus.
