About the Anthro JV:
The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering will provide comprehensive turn-key services for London’s state-of-the-art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common. We have been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver MEPHFC (Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, Fire, and Communications) systems works.
Role Overview:
Are you a proactive, forward-thinking professional with a passion for delivering excellence in procurement? Join our VVB Engineering as a Senior Buyer and play a key role in ensuring the project has a fit-for-purpose supply chain, which supplies fit-for-purpose materials, in line with project budgets and forecasts, on-time and in full, to prevent delays to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake end-to-end procurement activity, from procurement plan/strategy formation through to contract execution.
* Manage procurement activities for allocated areas of responsibility; develop and maintain market/category knowledge to inform procurement decisions.
* Conduct negotiations with the supply chain ensuring the best possible price without compromising quality; agree on pricing schedules, payment terms, and key contractual terms.
* Ensure procurement processes and procedures are followed to ensure compliance with governance frameworks.
* Produce procurement documentation such as procurement plans, tender documentation, and obtain necessary approvals.
* Record and report savings according to guidelines.
* Capture lessons learned to improve future procurement activities.
* Engage and communicate effectively with internal customers and other functions.
* Maintain an ethical approach to tasks and relationships in accordance with Anthro policies.
* Conduct regular review meetings with Project Managers to ensure alignment.
* Monitor project supply chain performance.
* Manage notification of delays and feedback to site for costs incurred.
* Implement and amend contractual changes in contracts and purchase orders.
Person Specification:
* Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP Business One.
* Excellent knowledge of Contract Law.
* Previous experience with NEC and JCT contracts.
Qualifications:
* Qualification in Procurement or equivalent.
* Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
* Commercially astute with strong communication and presentation skills.
* Interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Flexible to meet project demands.
* Previous experience as a Senior Buyer.
* Experience in the construction/infrastructure industry.
