Lead Software Engineer / Developer (C++ QT) Remote UK to £95k
Are you an experienced C++ Software Engineer with a strong knowledge of broadcasting systems?
You could be progressing your career in a hands-on, technical leadership role at a market leading media software house, the flagship product, is a pseudo real time multi-threaded iTV broadcasting application that enables television broadcasters worldwide to automate playout, handle acquisition, allow low and high resolution editing and manage assets.
As a Lead Software Engineer you will design and implement new features and improvements on the core automation playout / scheduling software, working across the full software development lifecycle. As a senior member of the team you'll mentor others and act as a champion for development techniques, promoting the use of reviews, latest technologies, tools and techniques whilst working with a modern technology stack including C++17 / C++20.
Location / WFH:
There's a remote first policy so you can work from home from anywhere in the UK.
About you:
You have a strong knowledge of media broadcasting technology
You have strong C++ development skills, they're using C++ 11 / C++ 17 and moving to C++ 20
You have experience with hands-on technical leadership, happy to develop and mentor others and provide project leadership
You have a good knowledge of SQL
You have QT experience
You have strong analytical and problem solving skills
You have a good understanding of software engineering best practices and Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns
You're collaborative with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Front End Developer / Engineer (Vue 3) Billericay / WFH to £75k
Are you a JavaScript web technologist seeking an opportunity to work with a modern tech stack on Greenfield projects?
You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands-on role at an eCommerce payments solutions provider that has experienced great success in the last year and is growing as a result.
As a Front End Developer you will take ownership of projects within an Agile development environment, with a focus on Vue 3 front end development to help evolve and scale the existing platforms as well as working on new Greenfield projects; you'll be able to take project ownership and manage all aspects of the frontend stack to produce white labelled Progressive Web Applications and Websites of the highest quality for a broad range of big name retail clients.
You'll collaborate with UI/UX Designers to ensure technical feasibility, optimise applications for speed and scalability and build reusable code and libraries as well as pro-actively analysing and making suggestions for improvements and as a senior team member, provide mentoring and support to more junior team members.
Location / WFH:
You'll join the team two days a week in Billericay (free onsite parking), with flexibility to work from home the other three, there are also flexible working hours.
About you:
You have strong JavaScript and experience, including Vue 3
You have strong technical project and people leadership skills
You're also experienced with other web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, SASS; build technologies such as Webpack, Gulp and CLIs; REST APIs, GraphQL (you don't need them all as you'll be picking new things up on the job)
You have a good understanding of browser rendering behaviour and performance
You have a good appreciation of UI/UX design
You have experience of working on high performance / high traffic websites, eCommerce experience would be great
You're collaborative with good communication skills
