Our client, a dynamic and growing manufacturer, is expanding their print operations and is recruiting for an individual they can develop into a fully-fledged flexographic printer.
Role
The primary function of this role is the efficient day-to-day running of the flexographic printing press, ensuring it is fully utilised to produce printed paper to the highest standard to support production. The role includes:
* Set up and operate flexo presses
* Load reels, mount plates, mix inks, and monitor print quality
* Maintain high hygiene standards and complete production records
* Conduct end-of-run clean downs to avoid cross-contamination
* Maintain ink/solvent ratios and troubleshoot printing issues
Skills & Abilities
* Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
* Previous printing experience is advantageous but not essential
* Self-motivated
* Able to work to a very high standard
* Strong focus on reducing waste levels
* High hygiene standards
* Keen eye for detail and quality conscious
* Troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
* Flexible and positive approach
* Able to work with minimal supervision
