My fantastic client in Bristol is currently looking for a solid Solutions Architect to come on board on a permanent basis.
The role includes the design, development, and maintenance of system architectures that support the company's operational and strategic goals. Working within the Operations department, you will collaborate closely with development, infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance across the organisation.
The client is looking for someone who has experience of Network architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), and systems integration as well as Cybersecurity principles and compliance standards.
The key responsibilities and tasks for this role will include:
* Design, implement and maintain end-to-end system architecture designs and documentation for on-premise and cloud architectures
* Lead and preside over the integration of hardware, software and cloud systems
* Evaluate current systems and provide recommendations for improvement or replacement
* Deploy and manage security technologies like web security gateways, NAC, endpoint security, and perimeter defence
* Collaborate with geographically dispersed development, operations, and security teams to ensure architectural consistency and compliance
* Support Kongsberg's security incident response and service requests in line with ITIL processes
* Research and assess emerging technologies for potential application
* Deliver technical evaluation reports for proposed emerging technologies
* Participate in security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
* Maintain technical knowledge bases in Dynamics 365 CRM ticketing tool
* Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams
Essential skills:
* Network architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), and systems integration
* Cybersecurity principles and compliance standards
* Familiarity with Project management lifecycles and quality assurance processes
* Tools such as UML, enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), and CI/CD pipelines.
This is a permanent role based out of the Bristol office paying a salary of £75-80k per annum depending on experience.
