Assistant Business Support Manager – SEND & Inclusion Support Model | 8967 | Permanent Contract |37 hours per week | £25,598 to £31,022 per annum | Grade F | Norwich
Norfolk County Council has made a considerable investment in Children’s Services’ ongoing programme of transformation, including the development of the SEND and Inclusion Support Model. This model aims to ensure children and young people get the support they need, as early as possible. To support the implementation of this new way of working, we are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Business Support Manager to help lead and develop our newly Business Support Team.
Responsibilities
* Provide operational leadership and management to the Business Support Team, ensuring effective delivery of administrative and support functions across the Zone Teams.
* Work closely with the Business Service Manager and a range of educational professionals to support the implementation of service improvements and transformation initiatives.
* Support the development and continuous improvement of business processes, ensuring compliance with council policies and procedures.
* Support the management of resources, including staff supervision, performance management, and training.
* Support the Business Service Manager in the organisation of meetings, preparation of agendas and minutes, recording and tracking actions, and coordination of key activities across the service.
* Attend Zone Teams’ weekly meetings to help manage their activities with schools and ensure effective communication and collaboration.
* Be part of a wider business support team developing new processes to continuously improve ways of working.
* You will be at the forefront of educational change in Norfolk, supporting schools, the Council, and families to work together to help children and young people flourish.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
* Has excellent literacy, listening, and communication skills.
* Is highly organised with effective time management abilities.
* Is IT literate and fully competent in using MS Teams, Outlook, and Office applications.
* Can work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
* Demonstrates professionalism and the ability to handle sensitive information.
* Is friendly, approachable, and able to build positive working relationships.
* Has experience supervising staff and supporting their development.
Full training will be provided, and you will be supported by an experienced, friendly, and knowledgeable team.
Working Arrangements
All our office-based roles are currently hybrid as part of our Smarter Working plans. Remote working will be a key feature of this role, but when you work from the office, your base will be County Hall, Norwich. Our technology platform and equipment enable you to connect and collaborate remotely or in a hybrid fashion.
The work will be varied but rewarding, as you will be part of a team contributing towards positive outcomes for young people.
