In this role, the candidate will collaborate with our Mechanical Design team and specialists from other engineering disciplines to produce mechanical designs in support of our defence products. Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include Generating models in CAD Carrying out elements of product design Contributing to the development of engineering excellence within the business Providing mechanical engineering expertise in support of future business opportunities The Ideal Candidate Should Have A degree or higher in mechanical engineering Broad knowledge of all aspects of engineering, such as systems, electrical, electro-mechanical, and rotating machinery Experience in manufacturing methods applicable to electrical enclosures, such as metal fabrications, castings, welding, machining, and corrosion protection Proficiency in Solidworks Good knowledge of materials Good knowledge of best practices in design lifecycle processes, such as gated design phases and design reviews Experience in designing to strict requirements such as shock, EMC and thermal Strong communication skills At ESCO Maritime Solutions, we understand that work-life balance is important.
