Job: Head of Design and Technology

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Aston Education is working with an Ofsted Good 11-18 secondary academy looking for a Head of Design and Technology (DT). The school is based in Lewisham (inner London) and they are part of a respected medium size Multi-Academy Trust.
We are looking for an innovative and creative individual who can lead a small Design and Technology team and inspire students on KS3 and grow the DT offering to KS4 and KS5. The school has excellent facilities and DT machinery.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:
7. Qualified teacher status (QTS)
8. Good honours degree in a Design and Technology subject
9. Experience teaching your subject at KS3 and KS4 and a good knowledge of A levels
10. An outstanding classroom practitioner with an excellent track record of progress and results
11. Proven track record of raising educational standards and achievement
12. Understanding how to analyse and use data effectively
