What skills and experience we're looking for
* A strong understanding of inclusive practice, with the ability to identify and remove barriers to learning for all pupils
* Expertise in SEND, safeguarding and pastoral systems, including statutory frameworks and responsibilities
* Proven ability to lead whole‑school inclusion strategies that improve outcomes for disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to identify need, evaluate provision and drive improvement
* Experience of leading and developing staff to deliver high‑quality, inclusive practice across a school
* Ability to design and implement effective systems for behaviour, attendance and pupil wellbeing
* Strong partnership‑working skills, including working with families, external agencies and the wider community
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and positive relationships
* A clear commitment to equity, ensuring all pupils are supported to flourish academically and personally
* The ability to think strategically while maintaining a sharp focus on day‑to‑day operational impact
