This is a business where bids matter. You’ll be leading from the front in a fast-moving, commercially driven environment across the manufacturing and construction sectors.
The Role
You’ll take full ownership of a high-volume, high-impact bid function:
* Leading a team of 6, driving quality, consistency, and performance
* Managing c.150 tenders per year + Proposals, with submissions typically up to £1m in value
* Maintaining a strong win rate of circa 1 in 3
* Delivering bids across local authority, community regeneration, new build housing, and leisure sectors
This is about bringing bids to life.
You’ll ensure every submission is commercially sharp, creatively strong, and fully aligned to what the client is trying to achieve.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
* Owning the end-to-end bid process from qualification through to submission
* Managing bid integrity — reviewing, refining, and proofreading to a high standard
* Collaborating with key internal stakeholders including the Managing Director, Commercial Director, Design Manager, and Sales Leads
* Ensuring win themes align with real internal capability and client expectations
* Driving continuous improvement — evolving bid processes, structure, and output quality
* Creating a more efficient, scalable function with the opportunity to grow the team over time
