Learning Support Assistant – Year 4 (ASC & Behaviour Support)

Start Date: After February Half Term
Contract: Full-Time
Pay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
Teaching Personnel are looking for a Level 2 or above qualified Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Blackpool. This is a specialist role supporting a child in Year 4 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and challenging behaviour, so we’re seeking someone patient, resilient, and passionate about making a difference.
What you’ll be doing:
* Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASC and behavioural needs.
* Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions.
* Create a safe, supportive environment where the child can thrive.
What we’re looking for:
* Level 2 or above qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent).
* Experience supporting children with ASC and/or challenging behaviour.
* Strong communication skills and a calm, proactive approach.
* Ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils.
