THE ROLE
The Product Manager is a key member of the NPD (New Product Development) Team and will work closely within the team to manage and support the PD Exec and PD Assistant in delivering all extended product development (EPD) initiatives. These include, but are not limited to, shade extensions, sampling, collections, accessories, PR, and product reformulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensuring that all developments within the product calendar remain on track, with 100% of key milestones met.
* Reviewing supplier CPAs and building project timelines within Asana (Project Management Tool) to ensure business wide clarity on dates and deadlines.
* Delivering clear briefs to the team and following up on all actions ahead of project review or sign off.
* Adhering to product quality procedures for every product.
* Identifying risks within the product and the business to ensure high quality standards are maintained or exceeded.
* Collaborating cross-functionally to drive NPD, swag, and exclusives across key markets - aligning with community feedback, insights, and broader product marketing and commercial plans.
* Overseeing testing plans to ensure the product is inclusive and resonates with our community.
* Presenting topline status updates, concepts and feedback internally (Management, Head of NPD, Product Director, Marketing Manager and Co-founders) and externally (retailers)
* Allocating target costs, reviewing supplier quotes and negotiating costs to hit target margins.
* Role may include attending global trade fairs, factories and upholding strong supplier relationships.
* Delivering departmental goals, in line with business goals.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
* Proven experience managing end-to-end product development projects within beauty, skincare, or lifestyle sectors, ensuring all key milestones and launches are met.
* Strong project management and organisational skills, with proficiency in tools such as Asana and a detail-oriented approach to tracking timelines and supplier CPAs.
* Commercially minded, with experience in costing, supplier negotiation, and margin management to achieve business targets.
* Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration, able to brief clearly, align teams, and present confidently to senior stakeholders and external partners.
* In-depth understanding of product quality standards, testing processes, and risk management within beauty or skincare product development.
* Creative and strategic thinker with a passion for NPD innovation informed by consumer insights, brand vision, and market trends.
* Experience leading and mentoring team members, fostering accountability, creativity, and operational excellence.
