This is a full-time role, starting immediately, ideal for someone who thrives in inclusive educational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including learning delays and behavioural challenges
Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
Provide one-to-one and small group support
Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skillsRequirements:
Experience working with children in an educational or care setting
Understanding of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting pupils' individual needsDesirable:
Experience in Key Stage 1 or 2
