Position
Job Title: European Export Planner
Location: Witham, Essex
Hours: Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities
* Planning and coordinating the smooth and cost‑effective movement of goods across Europe
* Utilising customer service skills to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and partners
* Maximising trailer payloads and consolidating cargo efficiently
* Taking ownership of customer enquiries, problem‑solving, and delivering high service standards
* Staying up to date with European transport regulations, customs procedures and market trends
* Understanding profit & loss and contributing to the company’s long‑term success
* Collaborating with various departments to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency
Requirements
* Experience in European road freight forwarding
* High level of customer service in face‑to‑face, telephone and email interactions
* Strong geographical knowledge and ability to plan European Groupage Trailers
* Excellent commercial awareness and customer service skills
* A proactive, problem‑solving mindset with the ability to work independently
* Knowledge of customs procedures (full training will be provided if required)
* Ability to consolidate cargo in the UK and maximise trailer payloads
* European language skills would be a bonus but are not essential
