Purpose of Role
We are seeking a motivated and organised Assistant Cleaning Manager to support the delivery of high-quality cleaning services across the Lincolnshire County Council contract. This is a mobile role covering up to 30 sites across the county, ensuring service standards, compliance, and team performance meet contractual and company expectations.
Job Description
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting operational delivery, managing staff, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
1. Support the Cleaning Manager in overseeing cleaning operations across multiple sites within Lincolnshire.
2. Manage and supervise a team of approximately 30 cleaning staff.
3. Conduct regular site visits, audits, and quality inspections to ensure compliance with standards and KPIs.
4. Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
5. Ensure health & safety policies, COSHH procedures, and company guidelines are followed.
6. Manage staffing levels, absence cover, and rota planning.
7. Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
8. Support continuous improvement initiatives and service delivery optimisation.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
9. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (role involves regular travel between sites).
10. BIC’s (British Institute of Cleaning Science) qualification.
11. Previous supervisory or management experience within the cleaning or facilities management sector.
12. Experience managing multiple sites and teams.
13. Strong organisational and communication skills.
14. Good knowledge of health & safety regulations within cleaning services.
