This is a hands-on, operational People Partner role, working closely with senior leaders to deliver pragmatic, high-impact people solutions. You'll be a trusted advisor with the confidence and credibility to challenge constructively, influence outcomes, and support the business through complex change, including TUPE.
Please note: This is a hybrid role based in our York office, with travel required across our UK sites.
What You Will Do
* Partnering with leaders to understand business priorities and translate them into clear, practical people actions.
* Confidently influencing and challenging senior stakeholders — including pushing back where needed to manage risk and achieve better outcomes.
* Leading complex employee relations cases end-to-end, applying sound judgement and ensuring fair, consistent outcomes.
* Playing a key role in organisational change, including restructures, TUPE, consultations and workforce transitions.
* Supporting organisational design, workforce planning, talent and succession planning in line with business needs.
* Driving effective performance management through coaching leaders, supporting difficult conversations, and embedding accountability.
* Ensuring compliance with UK employment law, internal policies, and HR standards.
* Acting as a visible people lead, strengthening engagement, culture and leadership capability across the organisation.
What You Will Have
* 6+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a People Partner, HRBP or senior advisory role.
* Strong, hands-on TUPE experience — this is essential.
* A confident professional presence, able to operate credibly with senior and board-level stakeholders.
* Proven ability to challenge constructively, influence decisions, and hold your ground when required.
* Solid knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practice, and HR systems.
* Strong judgement, communication and problem solving skills.
* Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast paced, service driven environment.
* A practical, operational mindset focused on delivery and impact.
