About the Role
The SEN Support Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting pupils with additional learning needs. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in students’ learning experiences and contribute to their overall development and confidence.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN
* Support classroom learning activities as directed by teaching staff
* Assist with personal care needs when required
* Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour
* Help maintain an inclusive and supportive learning environment
* Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to implement strategies
Qualifications
* Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable
* Knowledge of SEN strategies and support techniques
* Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
* Patience, empathy, and understanding of individual learning needs
* Willingness to undertake training and professional development
