Quality EngineerLocation ExeterSalary Dependant on experience We are looking for a skilled and motivated Quality Engineer / Quality & Compliance Engineer / Quality Assurance Engineer to support and strengthen our client's commitment to excellence in quality management. This role is in ExeterThis is a fantastic opportunity for a quality-driven professional to join a team that designs, tests, and manufactures cutting-edge products used in some of the most demanding environments around the world.Key Responsibilities of Quality Engineer / Quality & Compliance Engineer / Quality Assurance Engineer Conduct internal audits to confirm compliance and drive continuous improvement. Collaborate across all areas of the business to identify and implement quality improvements. Lead efforts to ensure product compliance with global regulatory requirements, staying ahead of upcoming changes. Investigate and manage customer RMAs and supplier non-conformances. Carry out hands-on product testing, including design of experiments and verification testing throughout product development and production stages. Participate in risk assessments to proactively address potential product issues. Maintain and oversee the Workshop and Test Facilities, managing testing schedules and applying 5S practices.Key Requirements of Quality Engineer / Quality & Compliance Engineer / Quality Assurance Engineer Background in engineering or manufacturing is essential. HNC Level 4 or above in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Strong understanding of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems. Industry experience in a similar role. Confident, clear communicator - both written and verbal. Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple projects. Internal auditing experience. Familiarity with 5S/6S, RCCA, and problem-solving methodologies. Able to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience with PPAP is beneficial. Knowledge of global product compliance standards is advantageous.* This role is based full time in the office in Exeter
