Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Project Manager (contract or permanent) with a strong mechanical engineering bias to oversee site operations for a major infrastructure build. The successful candidate will join an active site team in various locations around the UK, delivering projects running for up to a year, for various clients including OEMs. This is a site-based role, requiring hands-on leadership, coordination of multidisciplinary teams, and close collaboration with client representatives and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily site operations and ensure project milestones are met
* Coordinate mechanical and electrical works, ensuring integration across disciplines
* Manage subcontractors, site personnel, and rotating teams
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and site protocols
* Liaise with client-side engineers and OEM representatives
* Monitor progress, report issues, and implement corrective actions
* Maintain site documentation and contribute to project reporting
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience as a Site Manager or Project Manager on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects
* Strong mechanical engineering background; familiarity with electrical systems is a plus
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to manage rotating teams and maintain continuity across shifts
* Comfortable working in a remote site environment with extended hours
* Experience working with international clients or OEMs preferred
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
* SMSTS or equivalent site safety certification
* CSCS card (Black or White) is desirable
* First Aid and other relevant site qualifications is advantageous
