The Accountant is a crucial role in ensuring the long-term financial stability and success of the business. Main Responsibilities: The Accountant has a wide range of responsibilities, these include: Cash Flow Monitoring Cash Forecasting Compliance with lender requirements Compliance with internal policies related to financial transactions and accounts Management and interpretation of loan documents Managing banking and lender relationships Managing outsourced company secretarial provider Managing interest rate hedges Financial Reporting Contract Management and support Payroll Duties and support Credit Control Duties and Support Key Activities: All activities required to deliver the responsibilities above, may include but are not limited to: Production of 52-week cash flow forecast Administration of bank accounts (opening, closing, mandates, etc.) Weekly bank reconciliations Preparation of payment runs (for dual approval) Preparation & posting the payment journal, uploading to the bank, and sending remittances Credit control management Ad-hoc small card payments Funding management Preparation of equity/loan drawdown documents Preparation of new or roll-over utilisation requests Review and audit of loan statements Updating company registers Manage monthly input sheet in liaison with the HR team & external payroll provider Upload files to payroll portal and check prelim reports Prepare and post Payroll Journal P&L Salary analysis Timesheet Analysis & Capitalisation (including On Costs analysis) Ad hoc duties within the Finance team and provide cover where needed in the event of absence Review and suggest improvements to processes Essential Person Specification Knowledge: Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices Excellent knowledge of cost accounting and reporting Excellent knowledge or risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting Working knowledge of financial software and MS Office. Skills/Attributes: Excel and financial modelling skills Confident communicator, comfortable at all levels of the business. Ability to hit non-negotiable deadlines Experience: 3 years of post qualification experience. Commercial business partnering experience. Payroll processing experience. Qualifications: BSc/BA in accounting, finance or similar field Relevant certification (e.g. CMA). Circumstances: Ability to commute to Wildanet Head Office in Liskeard a minimum of 3 days a week.
