About the role:
You will lead cross‑functional teams and develop long‑term supplier partnerships within FMCG to drive sales, margin, and commercial income. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading strategic category planning and range reviews to achieve profitable growth.
* Negotiating with major suppliers and brands to secure competitive costs and long‑term agreements.
* Providing accurate forecasting, reporting, and delivery of commercial budgets.
* Championing innovation and differentiation in product ranges to ensure market competitiveness.
* Overseeing seasonal events, pricing strategies, and promotional execution.
About you
You will be an inspirational and forward‑thinking leader with a proven track record in sourcing and purchasing food products from both branded and own‑label suppliers in the UK retail sector. With a highly analytical and commercially astute mindset, you will lead from the front—able to inspire and influence teams through clear vision, planning, and engagement.
