The firm's Contentious Probate Team is highly ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, and has extensive expertise in dealing with complex probate disputes.
The Role: As a Contentious Probate Solicitor, you will:
1. Work on a diverse caseload of contentious probate matters, including:
2. Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act claims
3. Will challenges (capacity, knowledge, approval)
4. Trust disputes, executor and trustee issues
5. Proprietary estoppel, construction and rectification claims
6. Court of Protection disputes
7. Handle both bringing and defending claims, providing expert legal advice and representation.
8. Work alongside experienced professionals, including Full Members of ACTAPS (Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists).
9. Support the team in achieving business development goals and enhancing the firm's profile in the marketplace.
10. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and maintain excellent relationships with clients.
Skills & Experience:5-10 years PQE in contentious probate (although applications from less experienced candidates with an interest in this area will also be considered).Strong technical knowledge in contentious probate matters or a willingness to quickly develop expertise.Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage your own caseload.Proactive, confident, and able to build strong relationships at all levels.Team player with a positive, collaborative attitude.
