Job Title: Legal Secretary - Conveyancing Team
Location: Berkshire (Small Firm) Salary: £30,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Office Based
About the Role
We are a small, friendly law firm based in West Berkshire seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Conveyancing Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a professional yet supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to solicitors and fee earners within the conveyancing department.
Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports related to property transactions.
Manage diaries, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
Handle incoming calls and emails, ensuring excellent client care.
Maintain and update case files and client records accurately.
Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties.
Assist with billing, invoicing, and general office administration.
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within conveyancing.
Strong knowledge of property transaction processes and legal terminology.
Excellent typing and IT skills (Microsoft Office proficiency essential).
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
Professional, discreet, and client-focused approach.
