Reed Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 1/2 Teacher for a well-respected primary school in Wakefield (WF2) working Thursday and Friday of each week. This long-term, part-time role begins immediately after the Easter break and offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled KS1 teacher looking to make a meaningful impact while maintaining a balanced working week.
This is an ideal position for a passionate educator who thrives in a supportive school environment and enjoys teaching mixed-age primary classes.
About the Role
As the Year 1/2 class teacher, you will:
* Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
* Take full responsibility for planning, preparation, and assessment
* Maintain strong behaviour management to support effective learning
* Work collaboratively with colleagues within the KS1 team
* Create an inclusive, safe, and inspiring classroom environment
* Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
What We’re Looking For
We are welcoming applications from teachers who are:
* Fully qualified (QTS essential)
* Experienced in teaching Key Stage 1
* Confident working with mixed Year 1/2 classes
* Strong in planning, assessment, and curriculum delivery
* Skilled in fostering a positive and purposeful learning atmosphere
