The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. We work, build, and operate bespoke, technically complex, mission-critical systems which help our clients keep us all safe and secure. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold the highest level of UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This role will be based out of our Leatherhead office five days a week.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join an established team supporting a secure project. This role involves hands-on delivery and support of secure physical and virtual infrastructure.
•Build, support, and maintain physical and virtual servers
•Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and hardware health
•Maintain backups, snapshots, patching, and antivirus
•Perform regular infrastructure health checks
•Support server room and project desktop environments
•Manage secure import/export of project materials
•Ensure security controls, logging, and documentation are maintained
•Work closely with development teams in an Agile environment
Skills
•Strong enterprise infrastructure support experience
•Solid virtualisation and networking knowledge
•Well organised with strong documentation skills
