Location: Southampton (hybrid - min 3 days in the office)
As a Junior/Mid-level Treasury Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the treasury function for multiple entities within a group of companies operating across different countries, utilising the NetSuite ERP system. The role involves assisting with cash management, bank reconciliations, and payment processing, as well as ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies across various jurisdictions.
Junior/Mid-level Treasury Officer, about the role
Cash Management and Forecasting:
* Assist in monitoring cash balances across multiple bank accounts and entities to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
* Assist in preparing short-term cash flow forecasts and projections based on anticipated receipts, disbursements, and funding requirements.
Bank Reconciliations and Account Administration:
* Perform daily bank reconciliations for all bank accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
* Maintain accurate records of bank transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and bank charges, in the NetSuite system.
Payment Processing and Treasury Operations:
* Support the processing of payments, including electronic transfers, wire transfers, and check payments, in accordance with approved authorisation protocols and internal controls.
* Assist Team Leader in managing foreign currency exposure and hedging activities, including spot and forward foreign exchange contracts, to mitigate currency risk.
Compliance and Reporting:
* Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, banking regulations, and internal policies related to treasury operations and financial transactions.
* Assist in the preparation and submission of required regulatory filings, reports, and documentation, including tax filings and banking disclosures.
Process Improvement and Automation:
* Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimisation within the treasury function to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, standard operating procedures, and internal controls.
Ad Hoc Assignments:
* In addition to core responsibilities, perform ad hoc tasks and special projects as assigned by management.
* Ad hoc assignments may include process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, or other projects aimed at optimising financial operations and achieving business objectives.
Junior/Mid-level Treasury Officer, about you
* AAT Level 4 Qualified or Qualified by experience preferred.
* Experience in treasury operations, cash management, or finance roles, preferably in a multinational environment.
* Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel desirable.
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
