Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Year 4 at a welcoming primary school in Weston-super-Mare. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting children with additional needs and making a real difference in their educational journey.
Role Responsibilities:
Provide consistent 1:1 support to a child with Special Educational Needs, helping them access learning and engage positively in the classroom.
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to implement tailored strategies and interventions.
Support the child's emotional, social, and academic development.
Monitor progress and contribute to regular reviews and planning.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a 1:1 capacity.
Patient, empathetic, and resilient with a nurturing approach.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) or equivalent experience.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
Confident in managing behaviour and promoting positive learning experiences.
