The Role
We’re looking for an Advanced Technician to join our Assembly team, with a strong background in Polymer Additive Manufacturing (AM) and manual machining. You’ll play a key role in assembling complex components and systems, supporting high-tech manufacturing projects and contributing to the development of innovative technologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and optimise polymer AM machines and processes.
* Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic components with precision.
* Use manual machining tools (e.g., lathes, mills, pillar drills).
* Maintain high quality standards and troubleshoot issues.
* Collaborate with engineers and lead project delivery.
* Document processes and update work instructions.
* Promote safety, compliance, and excellent housekeeping.
* Mentor junior technicians and stay current with new technologies.
Key Skills
* Technical drawing and schematic interpretation.
* Hands-on experience with polymer materials and AM tools.
* Manual machining proficiency.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Effective communication and teamwork.
* Attention to detail and quality assurance.
* Project leadership and mentoring capabilities.
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma (desirable).
* Relevant certifications in polymers or advanced assembly (desirable).
