We are looking for a forward thinking, dynamic and self-motivated Project Delivery Manager (PDM) to join our Private Finance Initiatives (PFI) team at Northwood Headquarters. The successful candidate will lead on complex infrastructure projects from conception into delivery, working with the customer to define the works and ensure they are delivered to time, cost and quality. This is a critical role and the PDM will be accountable for the delivery of a wide ranging and diverse portfolio of building and infrastructure projects from the Command Infrastructure Delivery Plan (CIDP) programme, with values ranging from £25K to £4M. The successful candidate will bring our customers' requirements to life and lead on the delivery of the assigned projects to full completion, ensuring all programme key milestones are met. While this is a hybrid role which will include a mix of home and onsite working, it will require significant (almost daily) site presence to engage with suppliers and customers on sensitive issues. Job description Key responsibilities include: Leading the agreed works delivery within the team including line management responsibilities where required. Collaborating closely with all stakeholders, regularly supervising, and updating key project data on Information Management Systems and liaison with the Northwood Change Team. Monitoring progress of the programme and, undertaking analysis and reporting of project milestones and financial forecasting. Undertaking regular site supervision to ensure quality and compliance within programme schedules. Assisting on the production of Business Cases for assigned projects where appropriate and monitoring the delivery of the planned benefits. Liaising with DIO Cost Managers for VfM evaluations at the appropriate time. Prepare and manage the handover of works into the core maintenance contract. Conducting post project evaluations and preparing lessons learned papers where appropriate regarding projects for which you are responsible. Person specification Essential Practical experience in project/risk management in construction, facilities management, infrastructure, environment and/or an understanding of Contract Management in a demanding delivery environment of hard or soft facilities role.
