Mobile Hairdresser – Full Time (Edinburgh, Lothian & Fife)
Sofie's Hair is a mobile hairdressing service providing professional hair care in the comfort of clients' homes. We are proud to support mainly elderly and housebound clients who may find it difficult to visit a salon. Our work is as much about kindness and patience as it is about hairdressing — we bring companionship and care alongside professional service.
We are now expanding our team and looking for a caring and reliable hairdresser to join us.
About the Role
* Full-time, Monday to Friday, typically 9:30am–5:30pm
* Travelling to clients' homes across Edinburgh, the Lothians, and Fife
* Providing a full range of hairdressing services including basic colouring, perming, shorter hairstyles (typically above the shoulders), and traditional wash & sets
* Delivering a professional yet compassionate service that helps clients feel comfortable and valued
What We're Looking For
* Fully qualified hairdresser (perming experience strongly preferred)
* Confident in shorter hairstyles
* Full driving licence (comfortable driving both manual & automatic cars)
* A caring, patient, and compassionate nature
* Flexible, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
* PVG check required (we can support with this)
* Experience working with elderly or vulnerable people is a bonus — but the right attitude matters most
