Role Overview:
Senior Theatre Practitioner position in the Theatre department
Applicant Criteria:
* Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration
* Post-registration qualification relevant to functional specialty (e.g., Advanced Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant qualification for scrub leads)
* ENB 998 and/or mentorship course
* Approved/recognized anaesthetic course
* ILS certification
* Orthopaedic skill
* Mentorship qualification
* ILM3
* Previous experience working within an acute healthcare environment
* Previous experience managing and leading a clinical team
Senior Theatre Practitioner Duties:
* Deliver safe quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care
* Support, coordinate, and actively assist in the management and organization of care within the operating department
* Provide quality planned care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care by ensuring all team members deliver quality patient care by providing appropriate clinical and managerial leadership
* Lead in the delivery of patient care during a list or specified period of time
* Ensure that patient safety checks are carried out in accordance with the policy and that all practitioners adhere to the policy
* Contribute to quality improvement
* Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self
* Promote best evidence-based practice within own scope of practice
* Apply legislation, policies, and procedures correctly
* Achieve agreed objectives and demonstrate Private Hospital Group behaviors at all times
