Job Description
Job Title: Multi point folder gluer machine operator (minder). Reports to: Shift Supervisor / Production Manager. Based: HQ in Huntingdon. Hours: Double day shift pattern, example below: 1 week early shift, followed by 1 week late shift (9 day fortnight, rarely working Friday PM) – 38.75 hr Early shift 05:30 to 13:45 Mon‑Fri – 38.75 hr Late shift 13:45 to 00:00 Mon‑Wed, 13:45‑23:45 Thurs. Not required Friday – All shifts include 30 min unpaid lunch break. Holiday: 26 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays. Term: Permanent contract (standard UK ‘6‑month probation’ applies). Basic salary: £16.30 to £20.35 per hour (depending on performance / ability to run other machines).
Key Drivers for role success

- Minimum of 2 years gluing experience, Vega, Signature, Bobst, Diana machinery preferred
- Experience in gluing 4 corner, bookwraps, crash lock cartons & corrugated envelopes desired
- Ability to carry out make readies to a high standard that allows the machine to run at optimal speed and reach OEE targets set
- Must work to a high standard of accuracy
- Ability to communicate clearly and in a timely manner

Job Purpose: To produce products to the correct quality at target speed with minimal waste.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Rapid set up of machine to consistently achieving target speed/OEE for respective line
- Full understanding of safe operation of process machinery including safety features, stops, lock‑out systems & safe systems of work along with risk assessments for the work area & ancillary equipment, tooling and consumables used for the process (COSHH)
- Strict adherence to job bag instructions and client‑approved master sample.
- Identifies and notifies Production Manager of potential issues on machine
- Full understanding of corrugated material types to identify any material issues.
- Proactive carry out daily maintenance and assist with other TPM tasks
- Responsible for assistants and feeders/stackers/packers
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment (5S) in the process area
