You'd lead and develop the head office finance team and support the Group FD in shaping the function's strategy. You'd be responsible for financial control, planning, reporting and compliance at group level, including:
* Leading the preparation of consolidated monthly accounts, Board reporting packs, and financial commentary
* Overseeing all internal and external statutory financial reporting, including preparing the Annual Report and managing the Group audit
* Managing and improving financial controls and systems to ensure compliance and enable growth
* Owning head office budgeting, forecasting, and performance review (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow)
* Supporting M&A and other strategic projects in collaboration with the Strategy team
* Providing insightful financial analysis to the Board, Executive team, and key stakeholders
* Leading group treasury activities, cash management, and covenant compliance
* Working with and supporting subsidiary finance teams to maximise speed and accuracy of Group reporting requirements
* Ensuring accounting standards and regulatory compliance across all subsidiaries
* Acting as deputy for the Group Finance Director as required
Required skills & experience:
* A fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA)
* Strong technical expertise in UK GAAP and FRS 102
* Proven experience in group reporting, consolidations, and external audits
* Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management
* Skilled in communicating complex financial information to senior stakeholders and the Board
* Experience leading and developing finance teams
* Experience in implementing changes and improving efficiency within the finance function
* Comfortable working across a multi-entity group structure
* Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial tools
