Administrator Location: Solihull Salary: £27,675.00 Full Time, Permanent (37.5 Hours per week) Band 7 Here at Serco, we’re looking for a reliable, detail-focused Administrator to join our Fleet team and provide essential administrative support to a busy, operationally critical function based in Solihull. This is a hands-on, office-based role where accuracy, organisation, and strong customer service really matter. You’ll support day-to-day fleet administration, maintain and update fleet systems, liaise with internal colleagues and external suppliers, and ensure data is captured correctly to support reporting and compliance. Reporting to the Fleet Administration Office Manager, you’ll work as part of a close-knit admin team supporting a wider fleet function. This is a great opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys a structured environment, takes pride in getting the details right, and wants a stable, full-time role within a well-established organisation. As part of this you’ll: Provide day to day support to the Fleet team, ensuring requests from colleagues and suppliers are handled efficiently and professionally Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the Fleet Management System to support reporting, compliance, and decision-making. Manage data imports and exports, checking for accuracy, completeness, and resolving discrepancies where needed. Liaise confidently with external fleet suppliers, navigating their systems and following up to correct errors or missing information. Communicate clearly with drivers, managers, and internal stakeholders, handling queries, resolving issues, and escalating where appropriate. Support the production of reports and information for Fleet leadership, contributing to wider business updates and briefings. Ensure all data handling complies with GDPR requirements and follow established processes for reporting any breaches or anomalies. Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline admin processes and improve how the team works day to day. What you’ll need to do the role: Proven experience in an administrative or business support role, ideally within a busy, operational environment. Confidence managing multiple tasks and systems at the same time, with a strong eye for detail and accuracy. Basic to intermediate Excel skills and general familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access). Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deal professionally with colleagues, drivers, and external suppliers. A self-sufficient and well-organised approach to time management in a fully office-based setting. Willingness to learn new systems and processes, including fleet-specific tools and supplier platforms. An understanding of the importance of data protection and confidentiality, with the discipline to follow GDPR-compliant processes.
